Providing Unique Group Skills Programmes youths of 18 years and above with special needs for independent living.
Independence of a special youth is the ability to comply with the general expectations in a group setting and to function appropriately in a group social setting; as opposed to being engaged in his own preferred activity in his own preferred timing, supported all the time by his caregiver.
Our programmes are geared towards caregiver-respite as the accompaniment of a caregiver is not aligned with nor appropriate for our primary goal; the inculcating of independence of our special clients.
We, together with our partnering day activity centres, have exclusively devised special education training programmes for our clients with disabilities and their caregivers to be well-placed for a holisitc independent living.
Our Group Life Skills Programme caters for the social and leisure respite for the youth and their sensory and play diet in a safe and therapeutic setting.

Our group skills programme has been designed by us and we are the first Centre that has come up with this curriculum.
Our unique Group Skills Programme incorporates the following segments of activity : Dance Movement Therapy, JEDAA Speech, Drama and Expressive exercises, Brain Dance, Sensory Play with Therapeutic Sounds Programme, ABA Skills MindCognition Critical Thinking Skills - all of which are taught using the Discrete Trial Teaching method.
Our inhouse MindCognition Critical Thinking Skills worksheets are designed by a curriculum planner who designs curriculum for gifted education in the UAE. The worksheets begin from the very basic foundation of recognition of shapes and colours to literacy and numeracy. The levels from basic to advance serve to lay a foundation of thinking skills in the client. Thinking skills and critical thinking skills are the precept and catalyst for executive functions.
The ABA Programme inculcates acceptable behaviour in general group and social settings. Alot of positive reinforcement is given during the sessions to achieve the consequence, the outcome in relation to a generally acceptable behavior. During the process, we always discuss with the an available psychologist or therapist following the client to analyse or eradicate any antecedent. Our ABA Group Skills Programme takes place in a structured environment that mirrors a sheltered workplace or a typical group work or social setting. The youth after all needs to learn to be functional when he or she does not have the caregiver around.
Dance movement originates from ancient cultures as a form of expression; be it celebratory or otherwise. Using our bodies, countenances, voices, limbs and speech to express our feelings, needs and preferences are as natural to us as breathing. Our special clients are given the opportunity to be guided in using their physical assets to learn to synchronise these basic functions in a safe environment, with a thematic world curated for them in each session to unlock their creativity, their own form of expression, develop their speech and language and self - awareness and to be in tuned with their emotions in order o express themselves.
We are the only and first service provider who incorporated into our DMT Joe England's JEDAA techniques. JEDAA exercises have been proven to be powerful tools through their programmes in special schools in the U.K. in bringing out life and expression and enthusiasm and communication from their special clients. Our team has been trained in the JEDAA exercises by Joe England and we are very excited to implement the JEDAA exercises with our clients. For our DAC clients, they are observed by the in-house psychologist and the programme directors with great interest as the outcomes have been hugely satisfying.
To give value to our clients, in the same Group Skills session, we help them to decompress and receive their much needed sensory input in most aspects. They indulge in sensory play in an ambience with therapeutic music or sounds, a programme purchased by our Centre for the benefit of our special and unique clients who deserve to indulge in a safe place that caters to their sensory diet.
If you have questions about the opportunities available to you in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
